Welcome to Somerset Intermediate School, 

It is my privilege to introduce myself as the Interim Principal of Somerset Intermediate School. I am honored to step into this role and partner with our dedicated staff, talented students, and supportive families. My top priorities during this transition are maintaining continuity, supporting our exceptional educators, and ensuring that every student continues to thrive in a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

The Somerset Bridge
Intermediate school serves as a vital bridge between elementary and middle school. These years represent a turning point in our students' educational journeys - a time to build essential academic habits, strengthen independence, and learn how to make positive, responsible choices that shape who they want to become.

Our Four Character Pillars
Displayed proudly at the center of our school in our Atrium, four core pillars anchor our belief system and drive our school philosophy:

  • Be Responsible: Take ownership of actions, respect school property and personal devices, and hold oneself accountable.

Active Family Partnership
Navigating these intermediate school years is a wonderful journey of mystery, wonder, and rapid personal growth. True partnership rests on active family involvement in a child's daily life. When parents stay deeply engaged - asking about their child's day, encouraging their natural curiosity, reinforcing positive habits, and guiding their choices at home - they build the foundation for lifelong success. Together, as partners in your child's life, we can guide and support them through every step of this transformative journey.
