PTO

The PTO is made up of a board of officers, our school staff and volunteers. So, who can be a member? If you’re a father, mother, guardian, and/or a person who teaches or instructs at Somerset. If you answered YES, then we would love for you to become a member.

Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this important objective, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we sponsor and/or support: The Halloween Scavenger Hunt, Somerset Dine Out, School Annual Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation, Field Day, and various other fundraisers throughout the year.

We need your help, and so do your child(ren)! Here at Somerset, we strive for excellence by going the extra mile; it takes a team to make that happen. Our goal is to continue to grow, so we encourage both 5^th and 6^th grade parents/guardians to volunteer and participate to continue strengthening our school community, which also increases our school pride. Research shows that students whose parents are involved in their education have better grades and fewer discipline problems. We promise that the time you give our group and the school will be worth your while, fun, as well as rewarding! Your time, talents, and ideas make a difference in our children’s lives and education.
